Abu Dhabi production arm Imagenation and Participant Media have joined Bill Pohlad’s River Road as co-financers and producers on helmer Doug Liman’s spy thriller “Fair Game.”
Imagenation and Participant’s involvement stems from the $250 million pact they inked in September to provide funding for 15-18 films over five years.
“Fair Game,” which stars Sean Penn and Naomi Watts and is based on the autobiography of undercover CIA operative Valerie Plame, is the third project that Imagenation and Participant have teamed up on.
Breck Eisner’s “The Crazies,” starring Timothy Olyphant and Radha Mitchell, and Roger Kumble’s “Furry Vengeance,” starring Brendan Fraser, are the first projects to emanate from the deal.
Participant CEO Jim Berk said that all the shingle’s features will be co-produced and co-financed with Imagenation.
