It’s Oscar nominations day tomorrow, so I think we’ll all be keeping our fingers crossed to hear Naomi’s name announced as a Best Actress nominee!
In anticipation of tomorrow’s big announcement, I’ve added some beautiful new stills from The Impossible. Having now seen the film, I can tell you that no stills, interviews or reviews can do Naomi’s performance, or the film, justice – the film felt so authentic, and Naomi’s performance was just heartrending and emotional, and is the kind that will stick with me for a long time. She showed again what a master she is at acting with her eyes, and this was her best performance (and film) since The Painted Veil, in my opinion. The film is not easy to watch, but it is so worth it. So let’s hope it gets some rewards from the Academy tomorrow.
