We <3 Naomi!

"Not since I saw Meryl Streep’s performance in Sophie’s Choice have I been so moved by an actress’s performance. It also reminded me of Sally Field’s Norma Rae as well. Such strength and absolute vulnerability in the same performance. A mother who is determined to teach her child what it means to be a good person even when facing her own mortality. You showed every side of Maria’s story."
- Reese Witherspoon on 'The Impossible'

Untitled Woody Allen Project synopsis (sort of)

Oct 8th 2009 • by Jess • No Comments • You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger

Woody Allen gave an interview to telegraph.co.uk recently, and he spoke briefly about his upcoming project with Naomi.

As always he is keeping the plot and title to himself until the movie is finished, although he allows: “Josh is playing a very frustrated writer who’s having problems with his family and gets into an extramarital relationship and hopefully it’s interesting to people as well as being amusing and also serious. It’s a delicate line that I try and hit and sometimes I can do it and sometimes I can’t.”

Read the full interview, which does not include any details on Naomi’s part, but only really talks about Josh Brolin & Freida Pinto, at telegraph.co.uk.

Woody Allen August 13th set & Russian Tatler

Aug 14th 2009 • by Jess • No Comments • Gallery Updates, You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger

Naomi was seen on the set of the Woody Allen project again yesterday, this time with Anthony Hopkins and her director. I’ve added 46 photos of this day on set to the Gallery, including 1 HQ.

I’ve also added scans from the August 2009 issue of Russian Tatler, which features some of those Vanity Fair Spain pictures! They’re the same pictures as was used in that magazine – no different ones unfortunately – but they’re in a much larger size. These were scanned for the web by Assainova.

Aug 4th 2009 • by Jess • 4 Comments • Gallery Updates, You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger

Naomi was photographed on the set of the Woody Allen Project a further 2 times last week – on the 30th she was seen rollerblading in a park, and on the 31st she filmed a night scene with Antonio Banderas. Over 50 photos from these 2 days have been added!

Also, remember to follow us on Twitter @naomi_watts_org ;)

Giffoni Film Festival & Woody Allen set

Jul 28th 2009 • by Jess • No Comments • Event, Gallery Updates, You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger

Finally, a proper update! ;) Last week Naomi attended the Giffoni Film Festival in Italy, where she and Liev received a Giffoni award (not sure what for – I’ll have to do some research!). Naomi looked natural, relaxed and beautiful in black shorts and top with a gold belt, with her hair loosely tied up and minimal make-up. I have to say though, I look forward to the day when she wears more colour at these events! Over 100 photos from this event have been added to the Gallery, most of which are exclusive HQs ;)

And I had a wonderful surprise whilst I was uploading these photos – Naomi has been photographed on the set of the Untitled Woody Allen Project today! She was seen looking smart in a grey suit on the set in London, and in some shots you can see her talking to her director. Can’t wait to see more from this movie :D

EDIT: I’ve just updated the sidebar a tiny bit – added new Picture and Site Of The Moments, updated the Filmography, added new quote etc.

Antonio Banderas on the Woody Allen Project

Mar 29th 2009 • by Jess • 1 Comment » • You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger

Antonio Banderas was in Málaga earlier this week, to present his fellow actor, Juan Diego, with his award in the latest Málaga Film Festival. He also told ‘La Opinión de Málaga’ that he has ten very funny scenes in the new Woody Allen film with Naomi Watts, where there is sexual tension between the two despite their characters both being married. – typicallyspanish.com
