Twenty People Who’ve Gotten Sexier With Age

Twenty People Who’ve Gotten Sexier With Age

18) Naomi Watts

There’s a good chance that you might not even realize Naomi Watts in 1995’s Tank Girl. She’s so covered up by unflattering outfits and meh-brown hair that you’d think she’s a different person entirely. But just a few years later, with her unforgettably erotic and jarring performance in David Lynch’s Mullhulland Dr. forever fixed in our memories, her beauty is impossible to miss, no matter how disturbing a role she’s playing. — James Brady Ryan

Francisco Costa on dressing Naomi
Written by Jess on March 18th, 2010

Francisco Costa, the creative director of Calvin Klein, has recently mentioned dressing Naomi:

The matchmaker

“I’ll never forget the first time we dressed Naomi Watts. It was this pale organza dress, the whole thing was ruffles, very crazy. She looked absolutely beautiful. She wore it to the Met [New York's famous Met Costume Institute Gala] and that was the night she met her husband. Those are the things that are cool – moments when you become part of people’s lives.”

Watts amazed by Samuel L Jackson’s tenderness
Written by Jess on February 16th, 2010

Naomi Watts says Samuel L Jackson is surprisingly “tender”.

The actress stars alongside the famed actor in new movie Mother and Child, about three women whose lives centre around adoption. Naomi was amazed by Samuel’s acting ability, and hopes to team up with him as much as possible in the future.

“I was blown away. I only knew him from his movies. He’s just a total gentleman, a really tender person. He really took care of me,” she told People magazine.

Mother and Child debuted at the recent Sundance Film Festival in Utah, with Naomi admitting being at the event brought back some memories for her. She recalled the first time she attended, and laughed about the lengths she had to go to to get people to pay attention to her movie.

“The first time I came, I handed out flyers, trying to get people to come and see our short film. Actually, I was accosting people and trying to drag them in,” she laughed.

Watts and Watts in photoshoot
Written by Jess on October 25th, 2009

ACTRESS Naomi Watts knows a thing or two about making love to the camera. After nearly three decades in front of the lens, it’s not much of a challenge these days.

Even less so when it’s your brother behind the lens – the one who has been taking your picture since you were in pigtails. The one who has captured you at the best and worst moments in your life.

The Watts siblings were creating a scene in New York at the weekend when they ventured on to the street for a sexy photo shoot. Ben Watts, who is a successful New York-based photographer in his own right, was shooting his sister in a number of sexy black outfits, apparently for a magazine shoot.

And new mother Watts looked stunning in the photos, taken in downtown New York.

Although she’s a red carpet favourite turning heads at award nights and premieres, Watts has been choosy when it comes to other fashion assignments.

The British-born, Australia-raised star Naomi Watts has two screen careers. In one, she’s a muse to blue-chip international auteurs: she has agonised memorably for David Cronenberg (Eastern Promises), Alejandro Gonz?lez I??rritu (21 Grams) and David Lynch (Mulholland Drive). In the other, she has staked out a niche as an upmarket “scream queen”, facing perils in Japan-horror remake The Ring and Peter Jackson’s ape epic, King Kong.
