HD screencaptures from the international trailer for Diana are now up in the Gallery for you. Browse back through our Diana news archives to view the trailer itself.
I’ve also spent some time working on our Career section content pages today – check the Recently Updated Pages bit on the sidebar to see some of those updates. So far it’s just a very basic start, and I will continue to build it up in the coming weeks!
Given Naomi’s incredibly glamorous run during awards season this year, I thought it was time update our Top 10 Outfits Style page. It’s taken me a while, but I have now edited it around and we have a freshly updated list! I’d love to hear your thoughts on it and it’s always open to being edited, so leave a comment if you want to share your Naomi style favourites
In other site updates, I’ve added another little section to the sidebar which shows the Recently Updated Pages within the site. You can use it to keep track of what’s new and what’s being added as I continue to work on our site content.
To kick off Oscar weekend, we have a beautiful and vibrant new layout! This one was made for us by Flor, and I think she did a great job in coming up with something that is a nice contrast to our previous layout. We opted to use photos from Naomi’s recent Angeleno/Manhattan magazine photoshoot because Naomi looks especially pretty in them.
You will notice a new segment on our sidebar entitle ‘We <3 Naomi!‘ – I thought it would be fun to spotlight various testimonials about Naomi from other celebrities, and from you fans, because she’s been getting a lot of love recently. If you’d like to see your reasons for loving Naomi in this segment then just follow the link there to submit.
You will also notice a new option for ‘Career‘ on the navigation above – I decided to create a separate section for information on Naomi’s career so it’s a bit more organised and so we can have more pages on her work that are easier to find. This section will be built up over time to provide an in depth look at her professional work, from films to adverts to producing.
I hope you enjoy our new layout as much as I do – don’t hesitate to leave a comment with your feedback!
I’m going to spend some time catching up on the remaining videos & photos from Naomi’s many recent TV appearances to promote The Impossible. Today I have started with Naomi’s appearance on The Katie Couric Show back in December, on which she promoted her film with Ewan McGregor and Maria Belon. A downloadable video is now available in our Video section, and screencaptures are in the Gallery. You can also find a streaming/embedded video previously posted here.

USA Today have published this really interesting new interview with Naomi. I particularly loved the quotes about her from Kate Hudson, J.A. Bayona and Sunlight Jr. director Laurie Collyer. It will be added to our Press page in a minute … I have a feeling lots of new press interviews will be popping up in the next few weeks, so if you’re interested in reading that kind of thing, be sure to keep checking our Press page, as I may not post about each and every new addition.
Nothing is ‘Impossible’ for Naomi Watts
The Oscar nominee balances demanding roles with an equally rich family life.
Oh, and she’s terrified, understandably so, of dying and leaving her two young sons behind. It all goes back to her childhood. Watts’ dad, English road manager and sound engineer Peter Watts, passed away in 1976, when his daughter was 8, and her memories of him are a blank.
So you might wonder why Watts decided to tackle the lead in The Impossible, a grueling, harrowing film that required her to be soaked for six long weeks – and had her playing a real-life woman who gets separated from two of her three sons after the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami destroys their resort.
“I was struck by (my character’s) sense of courage and heroism. It’s deeply impressive. She hates to be thought of that way, by the way. It’s so miraculous that her family survives. She came so close to dying and she was certain she would. She had to believe that the last thing she left behind was this message to her son, which was to help others,” says Watts, 44, of playing Dr. Maria Belon, who is vacationing in Thailand with her husband (Ewan McGregor) and their trio of boys when the tsunami hits and splits them up.
Several new – and a litle bit older – interviews have been added to our Press page recently – go and have a read of them if you haven’t already
I’ve also added a Calendar to the top of our sidebar to your left so we can try to keep up-to-date with Naomi’s schedule, as I presume/hope she may be quite busy during awards season. Hopefully this will help you know where to ‘find’ her … eg when to turn on your TV, which magazines to pick up etc. Remember if you see her in a magazine/read she’s going to be on TV/find out she’ll be at a particular event – let me know! Comment, tweet or email me and we will all be very grateful.
I’ve been hard at work on our Style Rundown page for the past few weeks, and there is now something to show for it! This page is intended to give a bit of information on Naomi’s fashion and style favourites, and then provide a look back at all the outfits she has worn at public appearances over the years including who designed the outfit, if known. I’ve now completed the years 2010-2012 with information on as many outfits as I can find. The years 1989-2000 are also done, but sadly without designer information … though she probably wasn’t wearing anyone famous back then! I noticed just as I started the year 2009 that I had some events from that year and earlier still to add to our Gallery, so I will work on those years as I go through my folders and finish the Appearances section in our Gallery in due course.
I think it’s fun to look back (on one page) at Naomi’s changing style over the years, so I hope you enjoy this page too
