Neringa met Naomi in Lithuania in 2007
That was so cool and unexpected! Me and my friend were going through the Old Town in a city where i live
(Vilnius/Lithuania) and I was telling her that Naomi Watts is in Lithuania at the moment and my dream would
be to see her around. In like 2 hours we were going through a narrow street in the Old Town and unexpectedly
I saw three going in front of us: a blonde haired lady ,tall man and a black older woman with a baby carriage .
Lookin at the blonde one i thought to myself: "Gosh,can it be her????" Then i remembered reading the
article that some people also saw Naomi around with the black woman who is her baby's nanny. When they were
passing by, I heard them speaking in English.Then I stopped walking and said to my friend: "OMG, it's
Naomi Watts! The one i was talking about!!!" My friend said it cannot be her, coz this woman looked
too simple, but i said : "I swear, it's her!!!" Then I said I will go to talk to her, my friend wanted
to stop me but I knew it's the one and only chance in my life to meet her so i got self confident and came
back to them. I said: "Excuse me, are you Naomi Watts?" She was like "errm... yeah" and smiled. I asked if
i can take a photo with her. Her husband took a photo of us (LUCKILY, i had my camera with me though i never
bring it along) and then I said I love her movies and the way she acts. To my amazement, she answered in
Lithuanian "Aciu" which means thank you. Then she extended her hand and asked what's my name, i answered
and shook her hand. She was soooo nice!!! Then I asked how she likes Lithuania, she said they all love
it. She said she is staying here with her husband coz he is shooting a movie and she is just taking a
look around. She asked if I live in Vilnius, i answered i am studying here, i am from another city
but have been living there for 3 years now. Also I asked how long is she staying and she said till
October, which means I still have a lil chance to meet her again LOL Before the goodbye, I asked
whether she could give best wishes to Nicole Kidman, coz i love her and she said "Sure". Then we wished
each other good luck and farewelled. Awwwww will never forget this wonderful weekend. Still remember calling
my mom and mumbling all the time that I want to meet Naomi,coz he's in my city at the moment and so
on....Love u, Naomi!!!! LOL
