Funny Games will be released on DVD in the US (Region 1) on June 10th 2008. No word on extras yet.
I’ve added yet more new candids today, including new ones taken earlier today of Naomi and Liev at Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness’s house, where Hugh and Deborah hosted a pool party to celebrate their 12th wedding anniversary. You can see a cute pic of Hugh admiring Alexander at Just Jared!
I’ve also added a poll for you to vote on what you would like to see more of here at Blue Jewel. Obviously the Gallery is by no means finished yet, and a few of the Naomi sections still need to be written/completed, so I’d be interested to know what you would like me to focus on adding … please vote :p
It doesn’t feature our Naomi so I’m only posting it here, rather than in the Gallery. What do you think of it? I prefer it to the all-white one of the boys … this one looks more sinister and creepy…
I’ve added the rest of the 2008 candids I have – over 180 have been added, most of which are HQ! Naomi looks so beautiful … and look at this shot – how lucky are Naomi and Liev to live there, hehe.
I’ve also added a few new link back buttons, new affiliates and updated the sidebar with a new Quote and Picture & Site Of The Moment. I’ll add Interact responses tonight too.

From the ‘Sydney more expensive than New York: Watts’ article posted below, it sounds like Naomi will be featured in the new issue of a Harpers Bazaar … so I did some searching and it looks like it will be the Australian edition. You can see a preview of the contents page here. I’ll be looking out for scans, but if anyone from Australia would like to contribute them to Blue Jewel then please contact me!
Naomi Watts has apparently revealed she’d like a second child. The 39-year-old, who is mum to nine-month-old Alex, hinted to the Daily Mirror she’d like another baby sooner rather than later. “I am not too tired, which is a great sign, right?” she told the newspaper. “I’d love to have another one. Maybe soon.” She also reportedly explained how being a mother has taken its toll on the amount of acting work she does.
The British-born, Australia-raised star Naomi Watts has two screen careers. In one, she’s a muse to blue-chip international auteurs: she has agonised memorably for David Cronenberg (Eastern Promises), Alejandro Gonz?lez I??rritu (21 Grams) and David Lynch (Mulholland Drive). In the other, she has staked out a niche as an upmarket “scream queen”, facing perils in Japan-horror remake The Ring and Peter Jackson’s ape epic, King Kong.
Multimillionaire Aussie actress Naomi Watts has admitted that even she struggles to afford Sydney rents. “It’s out of control and kind of grotesque,” she told Harper’s Bazaar. “It’s more expensive to rent here than New York.” Watts says for the amount people are paying in Sydney, you could get a large house in LA. “A two-bedroom place on the beach here rents for the same price as what my large house in LA rents for. And that’s got a pool, an acre of land, and it’s in the best area. “I have no interest in LA, though we do spend part of the year there. Liev [Schreiber, her partner] is a diehard New Yorker. We laugh about it being a New Yorker’s right to hate LA.”
I decided to catch up on all the 2008 candids, and have added all I have from January and February, excepting one set that is still to come. There are lots of March candids to add as well I’ve also added a new, rare photoshoot taken at Cannes 2001 … and (this is the ‘treat’ I mentioned the other day) Blue Jewel can also give you the exclusive out-takes from Naomi’s recent and very gorgeous Esquire photoshoot! The out-takes are even better than the ones in the magazine in my opinion Big thanks goes to Mycah for pointing me in the direction of them. Please enjoy these photos here and here alone.
Screencaps from We Don’t Live Here Anymore are up! I think Naomi’s performance in this movie is under-rated – her character isn’t very nice but she makes her sympathetic and you really do end up feeling for her. Another subtle perfomance from Ms Watts! Plus she and Mark Ruffalo had brilliant chemistry – I’d really love to see them work together again.
