I’ve added 2 new sets of photos from the Mother & Child set, plus a few promo pics from Naomi’s appearance on Jimmy Kimmel last week. Kimmel caps coming soon, plus caps from her other recent appearances, hopefully!
“Fair Game,” the drama about the outing of CIA agent Valerie Plame Wilson, has come together with Naomi Watts starring, “Mrs. and Mrs. Smith” helmer Doug Liman directing and William Pohlad’s River Road financing.
But the big question is whether Oscar-winning “Milk” star Sean Penn will close a deal to play Ambassador Joseph Wilson.
Penn is negotiating, but no deal has closed.Pohlad has a strong relationship with Penn: he was a producer on the Terrence Malick-directed “Tree of Life,” which stars Penn and Brad Pitt, and Pohlad also was a producer and financier for “Into the Wild,” which Penn directed.
Naomi Watts is scared to do her own stunts.
‘The International’ actress – whose stunt double suffered an injury while filming one of the thriller’s adrenalin-fuelled chases – is happy to leave the dangerous scenes to someone else.
Naomi said: “I have no interest in trying stunts myself. It was hard enough lying on a cold piece of road – that’s a stunt as far as I’m concerned.”
Naomi Watts is joining Woody Allen’s latest film, starring alongside already-announced Josh Brolin and Anthony Hopkins.
Mediapro, the Spain-based company behind “Vicky Cristina Barcelona,” is financing the as-yet-untitled pic, which will be produced by Letty Aronson, Steve Tenenbaum and Jaume Roures.
Allen’s next pic, “Whatever Works,” will be released by Sony Pictures Classics in June.
Watts is currently filming “Mother and Child.”
EDIT: New reports suggest Freida Pinto will also join the cast.
I’ve added anther 74 photos from the Vanity Fair Oscar Party that Naomi attended last night, and we now have a total of 76 photos from this event, with more to come. She was pictured at the party with one of her best friends, Rebecca Rigg, plus other friends including Sean Penn and Robin Wright Penn, and Laura Dern. (Nicole was also there, but sadly our two favourite Aussies were not pictured together! )
And a little tidbit from chicagotribune.com: Inching forward are Kate Winslet, her Oscar and her husband, “Revolutionary Road” director Sam Mendes. Jon Voight, a.k.a. Angelina Jolie’s dad, is telling Winslet how wonderful she is. Naomi Watts congratulates her while heading for the door.

Naomi wasn’t at the actual Oscar event tonight, but she did make an appearance at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party, looking gorgeous in a flowing green strapless dress. The first pictures have been added to the Gallery, and more will of course be added tomorrow (Feb 23rd).
And slightly off topic, but congratulations to Sean Penn (Naomi’s 21 Grams and Assassination of Richard Nixon co-star) for his Best Actor win, and to Heath Ledger for his very well deserved Best Supporting Actor win. I know Naomi wanted Heath to win, and I’m sure she was rooting for Sean too!
Well I was planning to do a massive Oscar themed update today (seeing as tonight is the event itself), but it was taking me much longer than I expected to save and sort through pictures, so instead we have a fairly big, random-event update 😉 I’ve added 500 photos from 3 events that Naomi attended in 2006. The Painted Veil premiere and Metropolitan Opera Opening are 2 of my favourite Naomi looks, and I also love her dress at the ACE Awards … totally gorgeous <3
No word on whether Naomi will attend the Oscars tonight - they are keeping the presenters a secret this year. Stay tuned here for coverage if she does make an appearance. I may also add more event photos later anyway...

I’ve started to cap King Kong, and have added the first batch of screencaptures today. These are from the first few scenes before Ann gets on the boat … it seems there are going to be quite a few caps from this movie 😉
Naomi Watts has said she hopes the late Heath Ledger will win an Oscar.
The actor – who died aged 28 of an accidental prescription drug overdose – has received a post-humus nomination for Best Supporting Actor for his role as The Joker in The Dark Knight.
Naomi – who dated Heath for several years and was a close friend of his when he died – told The Independent: “It’s still very difficult.
Naomi Watts has confessed the credit crunch has got her in such a panic she wants to stuff all her money under the mattress.
The 40-year-old actress told The Independent even movie stars are worried by the economic crisis.
Naomi – who stars in new film The International – said: “We’re all feeling incredibly scared and vulnerable about what’s going on in the banks. It just goes to show that these empires, these corporations have so much influence over us – they talk us into doing things, living beyond our means and certainly in this film, the banks are able to control everything.
“We’re all very vulnerable. I’ve called my accountant many times in fits of panic. You feel like, ‘let me get all my cash out now’. It feels like it’s time to hide the money under the mattress. These are very scary times.”
