Naomi has been nominated for Best Actress for Eastern Promises at the 34th Annual Saturn Awards. She faces competition from Amy Adams (“Enchanted”), Ashley Judd (“Bug”), Helena Bonham Carter (“Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street”), Belen Rueda (“The Orphanage”) and Carice van Houten (“Black Book”). Eastern Promises also received nominations for Best Actor (Viggo Mortensen) and Best International Film. This year’s show will take place on Tuesday, June 24, in Universal City, California.

Over the weekend I added over 550 photos from all of Naomi’s public appearances in 2002 (I still have the Ring premiere albums to add though). In this year she attended a number of award ceremonies after the success of Mulholland Drive and promoted The Ring before it’s release in October. It’s one of my favourite years of Naomi appearances because of who she’s pictured with on several occassions :p

As JT posted, Naomi attended Tropfest in Sydney yesterday, and I’ve added more photos from that event today, taking our total to over 50. And finally for now, we have some adorable new candids of Naomi and Alexander on the beach in Sydney from earlier today!

HE was born in Los Angeles, but Naomi Watts’ son Alexander Pete Schreiber was finally christened a Bondi baby yesterday. Less than 24 hours after arriving back in her hometown, yummy mummy Watts clearly couldn’t wait to introduce seven-month-old Alexander to Sydney’s famous strip of sand. Despite the blustery conditions and grey sky, the Hollywood star was the picture perfect image of a contented mother as she cuddled and kissed her son and dipped his little feet in the ocean.

Naomi Watts was among a host of Australian entertainers who joined this year’s 16 Tropfest finalists on the red carpet at Sydney’s Domain. In its 16th year, Tropfest is promoted as the world’s largest short film festival, with finalists selected from a field of 600 entries from around the globe. “It is probably a little early to say, but this is probably one of the biggest if not the biggest (Tropfests) we’ve had,” Tropfest creative director John Polson said on the red carpet.

HOLLYWOOD star Naomi Watts last night paid a tearful tribute to her former lover Heath Ledger in her first public appearance since his death last month. Watts was emotional during a special tribute to Ledger at Tropfest in The Domain. Watts put on a brave face to play judge and presenter at the annual festival but lost her composure when the video tribute to Ledger was aired.

Naomi is currently in Sydney attending Tropfest. Jess & I have added photos of her arriving at the event today, the 17th.

Actress Naomi Watts will be the celebrity judge at the Tropfest short film festival this year. The actress, who is turning 40 this year, will be accompanying five other judges in the panel, when the 16 finalists will be screened at The Domain next Sunday. The panel will also include last year’s winner Steve Baker and Tropfest founder John Polson.

Naomi Watts has revealed that she was furious when female paparazzi tried to take pictures of her while she was pregnant. The actress needed police protection last August when she was ambushed by photographers at a grocery store in LA. She said she is usually able to take media intrusion in her stride but could not hide her anger when she was hounded by women.

Well it seems people didn’t see my message yesterday about not re-posting my Esquire scans – I’ve seen today that one site has removed my tags and reposted the scans there, and they even have the nerve to claim them as exclusive and having them first. This really disappoints me not only because I spent time scanning these pictures exclusively for this site, but because I didn’t think the Naomi Watts web community was like this. It is wrong and unfair to repost pictures, especially in the case of exclusive scans like this. I can only hope that the offending site will remove my scans, and this will not happen again, because I don’t want to have to worry about what I post or take extra measures to safeguard my content.
